Drive 16 = 30% QUARTER GRADE / FINAL GRADE = 100%.Points to be assigned range from 5(F) 10(A+) Upon their 4th absence the student is DROPPED from the BTW phase of driver education. State of Illinois guidelines indicate that a student must complete at least 6 hours of BTW with a school instructor, due to this guideline 3 absences, excused or unexcused would allow the student to complete their driving time. If a student does miss a BTW they must see their instructor. Students will be driving once every 4th school day (every other gold/blue day) for 17 weeks, during this time they are not allowed to miss any BTW time. Upon their 8th absence (excused or un-excused) a student is dropped from the program with zero credit. Therefore a student is not allowed to miss more than 7 class meetings during a semester.
